Six years later, in 2006, he was promoted to the role of Director of Design at the Volkswagen Design Center in Potsdam, further solidifying his position in the Volkswagen Group.

Ingenlath’s journey continued to ascend as he joined Volvo in 2012, assuming the pivotal position of head of design. His visionary approach and innovative designs played a crucial role in shaping Volvo’s brand identity.

Finally, in 2017, Ingenlath’s remarkable career reached new heights when he was appointed as the CEO of Polestar, a subsidiary of Volvo Cars where he was SVP of design. This appointment underscored his exceptional skills and leadership in the automotive industry, cementing his influential role in shaping the future of electric mobility.

Considering Volvo’s status as a leading global automotive brand and trendsetter, along with their plan to cease production of gas-powered vehicles by 2025 and plans to have a line-up of five performance EVs (Polestar-02, 03, 04, 05 and 06) by 2026 , Mr. CEO will play a crucial role in shaping the future of electric vehicles with The Polestar 0 project goal which truly climate-neutral production car by 2030.
