AVATR Technology, a Chinese company in the high-end SEV (Smart Electric Vehicle) market, has successfully completed its first round of strategic financing, raising a total of 2.42 billion yuan ($378 million). The financing involved the introduction of three new strategic investors through a consortium. This investment demonstrates confidence in AVATR Technology’s long-term development and its goal of building a world-class Chinese brand in the SEV market.
AVATR Technology aims to enable users to create an intelligent parallel world and become their “most emotional intelligent companion.” The company has formed an innovative industry partnership with Changan Automobile, Huawei, and CATL to develop the CHN platform, a global leading intelligent electric vehicle platform. AVATR Technology has offices in Shanghai, Chongqing, and Munich.
The company’s first emotionally intelligent electric vehicle, the Avatr 11, has been unveiled and is set for mass production. It features a dual-motor design with a front motor of 195kW and a rear motor of 230kW, providing a maximum power of 425kW and an impressive 0-100 km/h acceleration within 3 seconds. AVATR Technology has also launched its first product, AVATR 11, and a co-branded limited-edition model, AVATR 011, with pricing, configuration, and customer benefits announced. Experience Centers and Experience Spaces in 10 cities are ready to welcome customers.
Production vehicles of the AVATR 11 and AVATR 011 have rolled off the line at the Chongqing plant, making AVATR the SEV brand with the shortest time from brand launch to production. The company plans to accelerate the development of 350 showrooms by the end of the year, aiming to provide users with better end-to-end services.
AVATR Technology has ambitious plans for its product lineup, aiming to complete the “Four Models in Four Years” product plan ahead of schedule. AVATR 12, the futuristic luxury gran coupe, has made its global debut in Munich, Germany, and will begin deliveries in the Chinese market in the fourth quarter of this year. The company also plans to enter the international market next year and compete with global luxury brands in the high-end SEV segment.
